Google Ads Beta Search Themes For Performance Max

Google Ads Beta Search Themes For Performance Max

Google Ads beta search themes for Performance Max is a new feature that allows you to provide Google AI with more information about your business and customers. This can help Google to better understand what you're selling and who you're trying to reach, and to deliver your ads to more relevant people across all of Google's channels, including Search.

To use search themes, simply add them to your Performance Max asset groups. You can add up to 25 search themes per asset group. Google will then use your search themes to help identify new and relevant search queries to show your ads for.

Search themes can be especially helpful if you have knowledge about your business or customers that AI can't easily or quickly learn. For example, if you sell a new product that is not yet well-known, you can add search themes related to the product's benefits and features. Or, if you have a unique customer base, you can add search themes related to their interests and needs.

Here are some examples of how you can use search themes for Performance Max:

  • If you sell a new type of running shoe, you could add search themes like "best-running shoes for beginners" or "running shoes with good arch support."

  • If you're a travel agency specializing in family vacations, you could add search themes like "family vacation ideas for summer" or "Disneyland vacation packages."

  • If you're a dentist, you could add search themes like "emergency dentist near me" or "best teeth whitening products."

Search themes are still in beta, but they can be a valuable tool for improving the performance of your Performance Max campaigns. If you're eligible to participate in the beta, I encourage you to give search themes a try.
